The South Dakota Department of Tourism and marketing agency Miles Partnership were awarded a 2019 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development by the Web Marketing Association. The winning entry was the launch of the department’s new industry website, SDVisit.com.


South Dakota to Become a "State of Create"
The South Dakota Department of Tourism, in partnership with the South Dakota Arts Council, is launching a fall social media campaign called “State of Create.”


Department of Tourism Marketing Campaign Targets Leisure Travelers & Hunters
Although the summer travel season is quickly ending, the Department of Tourism’s efforts to promote South Dakota will continue to target leisure travelers and hunters in key markets around the country. Fall and winter marketing efforts kicked off in late August, highlighting the state's seasonal leisure, adventure and hunting opportunities.


SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM RECEIVES TOP MARKETING HONOR AT NATIONAL TOURISM CONFERENCE
The South Dakota Department of Tourism was recognized by the U.S. Travel Association at the 36th annual ESTO (Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations) Conference, held August 17-20 in Austin, Texas. The Department’s “Great Faces, Great Places” marketing campaign received the Mercury Award for Printed Collateral at the conference’s yearly award ceremony.
