Saturday, May 19, Rapid City, 4 p.m. MDT – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the welcome-home ceremony for South Dakota Army National Guard Company C, 1st Battalion, 189th Aviation Regiment, Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, Rushmore Room.

 

Saturday, May 19, Rapid City, 7 p.m. MDT  – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will participate in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Ellsworth Air Force Base, 2111 N. Lacrosse St., Best Western Ramkota Motel.

 

Monday, May 21, 9 a.m. CDT -- The South Dakota Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting via DDN on Monday, May 21, beginning at 9 a.m. (Central). The board will consider new and expanded program requests from the technical institutes, and receive updates related to Next Generation Science Standards, EPSCoR and Project Lead the Way. Tuesday, May 22, Rapid City, 1 p.m. MDT – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the South Dakota Department of Corrections dedication ceremony for the Black Hills Correctional Transition Center at 2725 Creek Drive. The public is invited to tour the new minimum security facility from 9 am. to 11 a.m. A tour for news media and invited dignitaries will begin at 11:15 a.m. For more information, contact the Department of Corrections, 605-773-3478.

DLR will distribute Labor Law posters and provide 2012 Workers Compensation Law booklets.  DLR Local Offices provide many services to South Dakota employers, including resources in our Labor and Employment Law division.
