Concrete Repair on Western Avenue in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says concrete repair work will begin in the northbound and southbound lanes of Western Avenue between 51st Street and 57th Street in Sioux Falls on Sunday evening, June 3.
Various lane closures will occur during daylight hours for approximately one week in order to complete the repair work.
Motorists should expect delays though the construction area and stay alert for workers, equipment, lane closures, lane shifts and sudden slowing traffic.
Motorists are reminded that fines are double in work zones.
The substantial completion date for the $2.5 million project is October 26, 2012.
The prime contractor is Buskerud Construction, Inc. of Dell Rapids.
