                                                Fatal Crash Update
                                      Hospitalized Victim Dies
 
What: One vehicle rollover:  fatal crash
 
When: December 10, 2006, approximately 4:40 A.M.
 
Where: Interstate 90, MinnehahaCounty, approximately four miles
              west of Sioux Falls
 
Vehicle: 2003 Ford F-250 Pickup
 
Who: Driver: Randall J. Reece, age 45, of McComb, OH
           Non life-threatening injuries
 
          Passenger: Steve Rhoades, age 45, of Greenville, OH
                            Fatally injured
 
          Passenger: Steven Bruner, age 44, of Arcanum, OH
                            Fatally injured (updated information)
         
Seatbelt used: Driver: Yes
                       Passengers: No
 
Alcohol involved: No
 
Description:  Two people are dead as the result of a one vehicle rollover on Interstate 90. The crash happened about four miles west of Sioux Falls early Sunday Morning.
 
The driver of the pickup, Randall Reece, lost control of the vehicle and rolled it into the median.   Reece was wearing his seatbelt and sustained non life-threatening injuries
 
Neither passenger was wearing a seatbelt and both were ejected from the pick-up. Steve Rhoades was pronounced dead at the scene. Steven Bruner was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where he died.
 
Slippery road conditions and speed might have contributed to the crash.
 
It remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
