Saturday, June 23, 2 p.m. CDT, Sioux Falls – Gov. Dennis Daugaard and First Lady Linda Daugaard, along with Lt. Gov. Monday, June 25, 2 p.m. CDT, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will appear on KCCR Radio’s “Ask the Governor” show.

 

Monday – Wednesday, June 25-27, Ellsworth Air Force Base, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. MDT – The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) assists separating and retiring military personnel in their transition from military to civilian life.  This three day workshop is located in the Airman and Family Readiness Center (Rushmore Bldg.) and will include information on employment services and programs, resumes, interviews, and applications, and Veterans benefits information.

Wednesday, June 27, Pierre, 8 a.m. CDT – The South Dakota Department of Agriculture will host the Governor’s Ag Development Summit at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center. This year’s theme is “South Dakota Agriculture Means Business.” The summit will explore how to expand our agricultural businesses. There is no cost to attend. Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak to summit attendees at noon CDT and also present the Governor’s Ag Ambassador Award.

JSAP is a free workshop for people recovering from job loss or enhancing their job search skills.  Trained instructors speak on modern-day techniques used to successfully find employment. Topics covered are: resume and cover letter writing, interviewing etiquette, networking effectively, using social media and much more.

Thursday, June 28, 1:30 p.m. CDT, Pierre – The Capitol Complex Restoration and Beautification Commission will meet in the Education Room of the Cultural Heritage Center, 900 Governors Drive. The board will consider State Water Plan applications, amendments to Intended Use Plans for both the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds, funding applications and amendment requests for various water and waste projects, a report on Missouri River surplus water, and election of officers. Wednesday-Friday, June 27-29, MadisonThe South Dakota Board of Regents will meet on the campus of Dakota State University for its regular business meeting. Executive sessions begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. and continue from 8 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The regents’ business meeting convenes at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday, June 28, in the Foundation Area of the Mundt Library.
