Shoulder Work Taking Place Adjacent to U.S. Hwy 12 West of Bowdle
BOWDLE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says North Central Farmer’s Elevator has begun work to widen the shoulder and provide left-and right-hand turn lanes into its grain terminal facility on U.S. Highway 12 west of Bowdle.
The contractor, Oban Construction, is currently widening the shoulders of this one-half mile stretch of highway.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the work zone while construction is taking place adjacent to the roadway.
Paving of the shoulders is tentatively scheduled to be done following the July Fourth holiday. At that time, flaggers will be present and minor traffic delays can be expected.
