American Legion Honors Highway Patrol Sergeant
PIERRE, S.D. – Sgt. Frank Krumm of the South Dakota Highway Patrol has been selected American Legion Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
Krumm, who is stationed in Huron, was nominated for the award by Spink County Sheriff Kevin Schurch. Schurch made the nomination for Krumm’s “active involvement and dedication to the community.’’
“We are proud of Sergeant Krumm’s selection, and we join the American Legion in recognizing him,’’ said Col. Craig Price, Superintendent of the Highway Patrol. “Sergeant Krumm represents the Highway Patrol in a positive way.’’
American Legion Vice Commander Terry Hanson presented the award to Sergeant Krumm during a ceremony held in conjunction with the Highway Patrol’s Youth Trooper Academy in Pierre.
