Work to Begin on Railroad Avenue Structure in Lead
LEAD, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin work replacing a structure on Railroad Avenue in Lead on Monday, July 9.
The project is located just east of the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Durango Street in Lead.
Work consists of removing the existing structure, installing a retaining wall, approach grading, and storm sewer installation.
Railroad Avenue will be closed to motorists during construction, but pedestrian access will be maintained.
Residents on Railroad Avenue east of the intersection of Durango Street and Railroad Avenue are reminded that motor vehicle access will not be available once construction begins.
The prime contractor on this $165,063 project is R.C.S. Construction, Inc.
The completion date is Aug. 31.
