Special Local Need Issued For Pre-Harvest Application Of Monsanto’s RT3 Weed Control In Flax
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Agriculture has declared a Special Local Need (SLN 24c) for Monsanto’s RT3, allowing it for pre-harvest weed control in flax. There are approximately 10,000 acres of flax grown in the north central and northeastern part of the state.
Monsanto’s RT3 can help control tough weeds and facilitate harvest. Extreme care must be used when applying the product to avoid injury to desirable plants and crops.
The label must be in possession of the user at the time of application. A copy of the SLN 24c label for Monsanto’s RT3 may be printed at: http://sdda.sd.gov/Ag%5FServices/Agronomy_Services_Programs/Pesticide_Product_Registration/SD120002_24c_RT3.pdf
The SLN is effective July 31, 2012, and expires on July 31, 2014. For more information on Monsanto’s RT3 weed control, contact Brad Berven at the state Department of Agriculture, 605-773-4432.
