Britton To Be Capital For A Day
PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced today that Britton has been chosen to be South Dakota’s Capital for a Day on Oct. 3.
“I look forward to the Britton event, and thank community leaders for offering to host it,” the Governor said. “It’s an excellent opportunity for me to get better acquainted with them and more informed about local issues and the future of the Britton area.”
Gov. Daugaard and a small delegation of state officials will have a coffee and constituent hour and tour Britton on the morning of Oct. 3. Roundtable meetings with business and community leaders will also be held that day.
“The people of Britton are delighted that the Governor has selected our city as Capital for a Day. Britton is a wonderful community, and our citizens work hard to make the quality of life here the best in the state and the nation,” said Britton Mayor David Kleinberg. “We are excited to have this opportunity and look forward to hosting the Governor and his staff.”
A complete agenda will be released at a later date.
