Legacy of Survival Event on South Dakota Highway 34 

 

FLANDREAU, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation advises motorists that horse riders and runners will be travelling along state Highway 34 from Flandreau to the Minnesota State line this Friday morning (Aug. 17).

 

 

Riders and pedestrians are travelling that route as part of the “Legacy of Survival” event held by the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe.

 

 

Motorist should watch for horse and pedestrian traffic on the shoulder of Highway 34, as well as in the roadside ditches, and be prepared for suddenly slowing or stopped traffic.
