What: Single-vehicle fatal crash

Where: Alkali Road, east of Sturgis, SD, near Sturgis Airport

When: Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, 7:01 p.m.

 

Driver: Marcus Allen Kindsfater, 21, Sturgis, SD, fatal

Vehicle: 1994 Isuzu Rodeo

 

STURGIS, S.D. – A Sturgis man died in a one-vehicle crash on Alkali Road near the Sturgis Airport on Sunday, Sept. 23.

 

Marcus Allen Kindsfater, 21, was driving a 1994 Izusu Rodeo that rolled. Kindsfater, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a Sturgis hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

 

No further information is immediately available.

 

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Sturgis Police Department and Sturgis Fire Department and South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation assisted.
