Former Rep. Charles “Eddie” Clay Dies

PIERRE, S.D. – Former South Dakota legislator Charles E. “Eddie” Clay of Hot Springs died Thursday, Oct. 4.

Clay, 90, served from 1967-1974 in the South Dakota House of Representatives. He also was the 1974 Republican nominee for lieutenant governor.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard has ordered flags lowered to half-staff at the Capitol on the day of Clay’s funeral, Monday, Oct. 8.
