DEADWOOD, S.D. – Individuals interested in public vocational rehabilitation are set to gather at the Deadwood Lodge in Deadwood, South Dakota for the Fall Conference, Oct. 18-20.

The Fall Conference is a collaboration of agencies providing presentations in the areas of vocational rehabilitation services, community employment services and transition services for students with disabilities. This year’s theme is “Finding the Gold in Everyone.” The Fall Conference is held in October during National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The conference is put on by the South Dakota Department of Human Services along with the South Dakota RehabACTion Network. The South Dakota RehabACTion network focuses exclusively on the programs established and funded under the Federal Rehabilitation Act to assist people with disabilities to become employed and live independently.
