Deadline for Governor’s Ag Summit Registration Quickly Approaching

 

PIERRE, S.D.- Registration for the seventh annual South Dakota Governor’s Agricultural Summit will close on May 31. The summit will be held June 1 and 2 at the Swiftel Center in Brookings. Those wanting to attend must preregister at www.sdagsummit.com.

 

The summit starts June 1 with a tour giving attendees a closer look at various aspects of agriculture in the Brookings area. A reception will close out the night. The following day’s program will focus on agricultural policy, weather’s impact on agriculture, water quality and showcase how some South Dakota producers are incorporating a variety of conservation practices into their operations.

 

As part of the summit, Gov. Daugaard will present this year’s Governor’s Ag Ambassador Award to Michelle Rook at the noon luncheon.

 

Attendance is free thanks to generous donations from sponsors.
