REDFIELD, S.D. - Residents of Redfield and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to explore health topics and screenings during a local Health and Wellness Fair at the South Dakota Developmental Center (SDDC).

The fourth annual Health and Wellness Fair will take place on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on the developmental center campus grounds inside the activity center gymnasium located at 17267 W. 3rd St. in Redfield.

SDDC Director Barb Abeln said, “Americans are becoming more aware of the role that wellness plays in our lives – building healthy habits into our daily routine is beneficial regardless of the age of the person. The SDDC Wellness Fair provides an opportunity to learn more about the health and wellness options available.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about health and safety, visit with representatives of organizations and learn about the services available to help maintain an enjoyable and healthy lifestyle.

Abeln added, “SDDC is fortunate to have dedicated staff that serve on the Wellness Committee and invest the time and effort to ensure another successful wellness fair.”

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 605-472-4210.

The Health and Wellness Fair is being hosted by SDDC, Community Memorial Hospital and the Spink County Coalition.
