SIOUX FALLS, S.D.— The South Dakota Department of Revenue has opened a motor carrier services branch in Sioux Falls.
The branch will provide assistance to the trucking industry on International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), International Registration Plan (IRP), Unified Registration Plan (UCR) and Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT).
The added location, which is in the Sioux Falls branch of the Department of Revenue, located at 300 S. Sycamore Ave. Suite 102, is a part of the Motor Vehicles Division’s continued initiative to provide better customer service.
“The Department of Revenue values our relationships with those in the trucking industry,” Motor Vehicles Division Director Lisa Weyer said. “We hope that offering same-day service, in a location with a high demographic of the trucking industry, provides a much needed service allowing truckers to get on the road and conduct business faster.”
“Creating this field office brings another service to the trucking industry by a state agency that already serves the industry very well,” said South Dakota Trucking Association President Myron Rau.
Department of Revenue office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact the motor carrier services branch in Sioux Falls by calling 605-367-4399 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
