SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes of Interstate 29 at Exit 73 in south Sioux Falls will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, April 3.
Crews will be doing rehabilitation work on the interchange structures for approximately five weeks.
Motorists can expect congestion and delays during the day, especially at peak rush hour times, and are encouraged to find an alternate route until the work is complete.
Drivers are asked to slow down in the work zone and be prepared for suddenly slowing and merging traffic, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lane.
The overall completion date for the project is August 2017. The prime contractor for the $33.8 million project is T&R Contracting, Inc. from Sioux Falls.
