Employer Webinar on Essential Job Services

PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) and South Dakota Retailers Association (SDRA) are providing a free webinar Wednesday, June 28, at 10 a.m. (CDT).

“DLR Job Services: Essential for Your Workforce Success” will cover how employers can use DLR workforce programs to assist with recruitment and retention needs.

“While there is not one solution to our workforce challenges, there are many existing and evolving resources to help,” said state Labor and Regulation Secretary Marcia Hultman.

As the presenter, Hultman will provide an overview of South Dakota’s current labor market. Information on the enhanced SDWORKS jobs database, Dakota Roots’ recruitment efforts, apprenticeship and training opportunities, soft skills workshops and more will also be shared.

“This webinar is a perfect opportunity for employers to learn about the state’s current workforce development efforts, programs available at no cost and how they as stakeholders can offer ideas and feedback,” said SDRA executive director Shawn Lyons.

Register online at http://ow.ly/rJf8309KRZs. If you have difficulty, email donna@sdra.org your first and last name, name of business or agency, city and state. Closed captioning is available if requested via email by noon on Friday, June 23.

The mission of DLR is to promote economic opportunity and financial security for individuals and businesses. Learn more at www.sdjobs.org.
