Thursday, June 22, 10:30 a.m. CDT, Sioux Falls – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the groundbreaking ceremony for Win-Chill (a full-service refrigerated foods warehouse and distribution center) at Foundation Park in Sioux Fall.

 

Thursday, June 22, 1:30 p.m. CDT, Aurora – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Novita Aurora Facility opening in Aurora.

 

Wednesday, June 21, 3:30 p.m. CDT, Wessington – First Lady Linda Daugaard will visit the Wessington Public Library to read to children at the summer reading program.

 

Monday, June 19, 1:30 p.m. CDT – The School Finance Accountability Board will meet via teleconference, with a public listening place in the Capitol Building, fourth floor, Room 414, 500 East Capitol Ave., Pierre. Saturday, June 17, to Thursday, June 20 – Bring Your ‘A’ Game to Work encompasses seven different skills including Appreciation, Attitude, Attendance, Appearance, Ambition, Accountability and Acceptance. These soft skills and a willingness to take direction are generally more desired by employers than the specific skills a particular job requires. This is an eight-hour course offered in a one-day setting or in two four-hour settings. This workshop will be offered at the following locations:

Wednesday, June 21, 8:30 a.m. CDT, Huron – DENR staff will be among speakers during an environmental training session for operators of concentrated animal feeding operations at the Crossroads Convention Center, 100 Fourth St. S.W., Huron. The training fulfills the training requirement for producers to obtain a state water pollution control permit for concentrated animal feeding operations. Training includes information on proper manure management and how to comply with the state permit. Producers not needing a permit may also be interested in attending to learn about manure management practices that protect water quality.
