SDDOT & McCook County Seek Public Input into McCook County Master Transportation Plan Study

SALEM, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with McCook County, will hold a public open house as part of the McCook County Master Transportation Plan. This open house public meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, in the Salem Armory (740 North Peck St.) in Salem.

 

The McCook County Master Transportation Plan study will address a full range of transportation options and issues, including pedestrian, bicycle, transit, freight and automobile. The purpose for the open house is to inform the public of the study’s recommendations and to record any concerns the public may have on those recommendations.

 

For those who cannot attend the meeting or would like additional information on the study, information will be made available online after the meeting at http://www.sddot.com/transportation/highways/planning/specialstudies/McCook/default.aspx.

 

The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the location indicated. A brief, summarizing presentation will be made at approximately 5:45 p.m. followed by an open house discussion with SDDOT, county and consultant staff. The opportunity to present written comments will be provided. Written comments will be accepted until Aug. 22, 2017.

 

Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this open house/public meeting is being held in a physically accessible place.
