Family and Self-Advocate Listening Sessions to be Held


PIERRE, S.D. –The South Dakota Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) will be hosting a series of listening sessions for self-advocates and families that include a member with an intellectual or developmental disability. 


The listening sessions will allow those in attendance to voice their ideas and needs for how to support these individuals.

The listening sessions are part of DDD’s work in the National Community of Practice for Supporting Families project.


The goal is to strengthen best practices in supporting families that include a member with intellectual or a developmental disability across the lifespan.
