Gov. Daugaard Signs Bills Into Law

 

PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Daugaard signed the following bills into law this morning:

 

HB 1018 – update and revise certain references and provisions regarding state agencies and the employment of certain public employees. 

 

HB 1023 – repeal certain provisions regarding pipeline safety. 

 

HB 1024 – revise certain provisions regarding South Dakota One Call. 

 

HB 1042 – revise certain references regarding the Division of Insurance.

 

HB 1043 – authorize the construction of a National Guard Readiness Center at the Rapid City Airport, to make an appropriation therefor, and to declare an emergency. 

 

HB 1060 – authorize the South Dakota Building Authority and the Board of Regents to finance, design, and renovate the Dakota Dome at the University of South Dakota and to make an appropriation therefor. 

 

HB 1061 – authorize the Board of Regents to contract for the construction of two athletic and recreation fields and related structures at Northern State University, to make an appropriation therefor, and to declare an emergency. 

 

HB 1062 – authorize the Board of Regents to purchase unimproved real property in Brown County, to make an appropriation therefor, and to declare an emergency. 

 

HB 1065 – authorize the Board of Regents to contract for the design, renovation of, and addition to, the National Music Museum in Vermillion and to make an appropriation therefor. 

 

HB 1071 – authorize the relocation of the School for the Blind and the Visually Impaired and the transfer of its existing real estate and facilities to Northern State University, to authorize actions necessary to accomplish that relocation and transfer, to protect the permanent endowment trust through exchanges of real estate and facilities, to appropriate funds, and to declare an emergency. 

 

HB 1074 – revise certain provisions regarding the creation of business improvement districts. 

 

HB 1076 – authorize townships to use a tax levy for emergency medical services. 

 

HB 1099 – revise certain provisions regarding dual education credit. 

 

HB 1113 – revise certain provisions regarding the vehicles required to stop at a state weighing station. 

 

HB 1115 – revise certain provisions regarding crop liens. 

 

HB 1119 – revise certain provisions regarding riparian buffer strips.

 

HB 1143 – revise certain provisions regarding the tax exemption of certain school owned property. 

 

HB 1148 – revise certain provisions regarding the eligibility to serve on the Game, Fish, and Parks Commission. 

 

HB 1214 – revise certain provisions regarding the State Conservation Commission and conservation districts.
