Highway Patrol Women’s Recruiting Seminar

Set for Tuesday, March 6 in Aberdeen

 

 

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota’s Highway Patrol will hold a recruiting seminar for women Tuesday, March 6, in Aberdeen.

 

The event is scheduled 6-8 p.m. CST at Caribou Coffee, 604 Sixth Ave. SE.

 

This is the fourth year for the seminars, which are designed to provide more information to women who are interested in joining the Highway Patrol. Currently the Highway Patrol has 13 female troopers.

 

Each seminar lasts two hours. Female troopers will be available to discuss topics such as the application process, training, what it’s like to be a state trooper and the challenges that come with the position.

 

Seminars also are being held in Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls and Watertown.
