Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Public Commitments; Public Meetings:

 

Sunday, April 1, Pierre – The Governor and First Lady are inviting families to take part in the 65th Annual Elks Easter Egg Hunt on the Governor’s residence lawn at 1 p.m. CDT on Easter. Children up to age 12 are invited to participate in the Easter egg hunt.

 

Thursday, April 5, 7 p.m. MDT, Pierre – First Lady Linda Daugaard will speak at Black Hills State University as part of the Presidential Lecture Series. In addition to meeting with students and faculty members, BHSU will host Mrs. Daugaard for a public presentation Thursday, April 5. The reception begins at 7 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7:30 p.m. in Meier Recital Hall on the BHSU campus in Spearfish. A limited number of free tickets are available by emailing Tickets@BHSU.edu.

 

Tuesday, April 3, 11 a.m. CDT – The South Dakota Board of Regents Building Committee for the USD National Music Museum Addition/Renovation will meet via teleconference with the purpose of reviewing design and cost estimates for the project. Thursday, April 5, to Friday, April 6 – Beginning April 5 at 1 p.m. MDT, the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks’ (GFP) Commission will meet at the Outdoor Campus - West in Rapid City. A public hearing will begin at 2 p.m. MDT discussing the finalizations of March's meeting. The GFP Commission serves as the advocate and liaison between the department and its stakeholders - the people of South Dakota. The Commission meets monthly (except for February and August) and consists of eight members; which are appointed by the Governor for four year terms.
