Yankton Area Residents Reminded

Driver Exam Station Opened A Third Day

PIERRE, S.D. – Yankton area citizens are reminded that Yankton’s South Dakota Driver License exam station is now open three days a week.

The Yankton exam station is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The new schedule began July 1.

“We expanded the number of days the station is opened each week because we have seen more people using that station in recent months,” says Driver License Director Jane Schrank. “We really encourage people to take advantage of that extra day to stop in and apply for licenses and license renewals.

Hours at the Yankton station are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. each of the three days. The station is located in the Kanner Building at the Human Services Center, 3113 Spruce St..

Schrank reminds people that they have 180 days prior to the expiration date of their license to renew. For information about online renewal or what documents are needed for a license renewal and a list of exam stations, click on to: http://dps.sd.gov/licensing/driver_licensing/.

The Driver Licensing program is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
