Department of Transportation Seeks Public Input into the I-90 Exit 406 (SD11 / Splitrock Boulevard) Interchange EA

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the city of Brandon, will hold a public open house from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wed. Sept. 18, 2019, at the Holiday Inn Express Convention Center, (1103 N Splitrock Boulevard) to present and collect comments on the Environmental Assessment (EA) and the preferred alternative for improvements to the I-90 Exit 406 interchange and associated SD11 / Splitrock Boulevard corridor.

 

The open house will be informal allowing for one on one discussion with the study team. The purpose for the open house is to inform the public of the EA’s findings. A short presentation will be given at approximately 6:05 p.m. followed by an open house discussion with SDDOT, city and consultant staff. Area residents, business owners, and daily commuters are encouraged to attend and provide their input. The opportunity to present written comments will be provided. Written comments will be accepted until Oct. 4, 2019.

 

For those who cannot attend the open house or would like additional information on the overall interchange study, the EA document and additional information is available online at www.sehinc.com/online/406. The presentation and displays shown at the open house will be available online within a few days after the open house meeting.
