Gov. Rounds appoints District 11 House seat
PIERRE -- Gov. Mike Rounds today announced the appointment of Keri K. Weems to the vacant District 11 House seat. Gov. Rounds appointed Rep. Mike Jaspers to a Senate seat vacancy which was created when Sen. Mitch Richter resigned in early December to pursue other interests.

Weems, of Sioux Falls, served as City Councilor and Deputy Mayor of Brookings from 1999-2002. She has professional experience in purchasing and material control management. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota and an undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University.
