State Seeking Cybersecurity Training from Department of Defense
PIERRE, S.D. – The Bureau of Information & Technology (BIT) plans to seek support from the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program to strengthen the State’s cybersecurity posture.
This collaboration will focus on cyber resilience, security assessments, and strategic alignment with best practices. The proposed engagement is scheduled for Federal Fiscal Year 2027 and will be based at the Sioux Falls One-Stop, with the potential to include additional locations.
Construction contractors, labor unions, or private individuals who have questions or wish to express concerns about military involvement in this project may contact the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer at BITcybersecurity@state.sd.us within thirty (30) days of this notice’s first publication. Comments received after this period will be considered a waiver of objection to military assistance for the project.
