 Name Released In Brookings County Fatal Crash

What:    Motorcycle crash

Where:  U.S. Highway 14, mile marker 425

               Two miles east of Brookings, S.D.

When:    8:21 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019

Driver: Gary Goble, 52, Watertown, S.D., Fatal Injuries

Vehicle: 2015 Harley Davidson FLTRXS

BROOKINGS, S.D. – A Watertown, S.D. man died Friday night in a motorcycle crash that occurred east of Brookings.

A 2015 Harley Davidson FLTRXS was westbound on U.S. Highway 14 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right. The vehicle went into the north ditch and went airborne.

Gary Goble, the 52-year-old driver, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
