What: Three vehicle fatal crash
 When: January 1, 2010, 3:33 a.m. 
Where: Interstate 29 Milepost 66, LincolnCounty, 2 miles north of Worthing exit.
 
Driver 1: Evelyn Washington, 40, Sioux Falls SD (Serious injuries)
Passenger 1: Tamara E. Bolio, 48, Sioux Falls SD, (Fatal)
Vehicle#1: 1990 Cadillac Deville
 
Driver 2: Jamie Draper, 33, Sioux Falls SD (Serious injuries)
Vehicle 2: 2002 Jaguar XTY
 
Driver 3: Marcus Jacobsen, 22, Sioux Falls SD (Minor injuries)
Vehicle 3: 1998 Subaru Forester
 
                       Lincoln County fatal crash
 
WORTHING, S.D.A 48-year-old Sioux Falls woman died in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 29 near the Worthing exit early New Year’s Day.
 
Tamara E. Bolio was a passenger in a 1990 Cadillac being driven by Evelyn Washington of Sioux Falls, The vehicle collided into the rear of a 2002 Jaguar being operated by Jamie Draper, also from Sioux Falls. Both vehicles were northbound on Interstate 29. After the collision the Jaguar entered the east ditch and the Cadillac spun around into the northbound passing lane. This collision disabled the headlights on the Cadillac.
 
A 1998 Subaru driven by Marcus Jacobsen of Sioux Falls was also northbound on I-29. Jacobsen noticed the Jaguar in the east ditch and moved into the passing lane where he collided head-on into the Cadillac
 
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
 
The crash remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
