Saturday, July 22, 1 p.m. CDT, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the activation ceremony for 15 Soldiers of the South Dakota National Guard 200th Engineer Company Bridge Training Team at TF Riggs High School Theater in Pierre. Soldiers from the Pierre, Chamberlain and Mobridge-based unit will depart for a nine-month deployment to the Middle East. Other planned speakers include U.S. senators John Thune and Mike Rounds, U.S. Congresswoman Kristi Noem, Pierre Mayor Steve Harding and Maj. Gen. Tim Reisch, SDNG adjutant general.
