BHSU and NSU to Deliver Programs in Rapid City and Sioux Falls

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Board of Regents gave approval for three existing academic programs to be delivered in Rapid City and two more program majors to be offered at the South Dakota Public Universities & Research Center in Sioux Falls.

Black Hills State University will now offer its industrial technology major at both Rapid City and Sioux Falls, as well as its major in industrial technology education in Rapid City and its bachelor of applied technical science degree in Rapid City. Northern State University was given approval to offer its major in international business in Sioux Falls.

The board conditioned its approval on the assurance that students at the Rapid City and Sioux Falls sites could complete any of the degrees within five years.

“One of our goals has been to expand access to specialized degrees at more locations throughout the state,” said Regents President Harvey C. Jewett. “By approving these new sites, we will deliver the expertise and programs of Black Hills State University and Northern State University to benefit more students, without costly duplication of new programs.”
