The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will host its annual Memorial Day program on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home, located at 2500 Minnekahta Avenue, Hot Springs. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. (MT).

MJFSVH Superintendent Danny Tiger will be the keynote speaker. 

“Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the brave heroes who gave their lives for our freedom,” said South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Jeremiah Schneider. “It’s a privilege to gather as a state to honor their sacrifice and reaffirm our commitment to remembering those who served.”
