Gov. Rounds announces new South Dakota quarter website

PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Mike Rounds invites South Dakotans to learn about their South Dakota quarter and the design process at the new South Dakota quarter website at www.sdquarter.com.

“The design of the South Dakota quarter is very important to many South Dakotans,” said Gov. Rounds, “and that is why we are inviting you to be involved in the selection process. When people see our quarter, we want them to be reminded of our great state and the outstanding people who live here.” 

Starting in 2005, visitors to the website can cast their votes for the design they feel best represents the state.

The South Dakota quarter design will be released in 2006.
