HURON, S.D. – The South Dakota State Fair is excited to announce the addition of  Sammy Kershaw to the grandstand lineup.  Kershaw will be making his appearance as an opening act for Don Williams on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011.

Since his country music debut in the early 1990s, Kershaw’s plan has been to  recapture the spirit that made country music great.

“Country music is not a formula, it’s a music with its own soul,” Kershaw said in a recent national interview.

Kershaw’s latest CD, Better Than I Used to Be, can be found in stores and is up to par with his previous hits, such as She Don't Know She’s Beautiful, I Can’t Reach Her Anymore, National Working Woman’s Holiday, Love Of My Life, Cadillac Style, Don’t Go Near The Water, and Haunted Heart.
