Gov. Rhoden to Visit South Dakota State Fair

PIERRE, S.D. – Tomorrow, Governor Larry Rhoden will visit the South Dakota State Fair.

Governor Rhoden will deliver remarks at the Farm Bureau and Department of Agriculture & Natural Resources Century Farms Program to recognize farms and ranches that have been in the same family for 100 years. He will also honor the brave men and women who have fought to defend our freedom at the Salute to Veterans event.

South Dakota is the freest state in a nation founded on the principles of freedom. Governor Rhoden will celebrate our great nation at the America 250: Declare Your Independence event, where he will sign a commemorative Declaration of Independence.

Governor Rhoden will also attend the ribbon cutting for the SHED, which will be the new home for Open Class Sheep during the State Fair and will serve as a multi-use facility for other livestock and equine events during the non-fair time. During the Noem-Rhoden Administration, the State Fair received funding to build the SHED – a project that will foster further development for our state’s future ag leaders.

To conclude his time at the State Fair, Governor Rhoden will attend the Red Wilk Construction Tuff Hedeman Bull Bash.
