Tree Felling and Chain Saw Use Workshop
(Pierre, SD) --- One of the greatest risks arborists face is being struck by a falling tree or branch.
On Thursday, September 11, the Forest Industry Safety Training Alliance will be in Pierre to conduct a one day tree felling and chain saw use workshop. The workshop will update participants on the most current methods of efficiently and safely felling, limbing and bucking trees. It will also highlight chain saw maintenance and use.
The workshop will be conducted from 11:00 am until 3:30 pm and will cost $25.00 per person. Continuing Education Units for ISA Certified Arborists will be available. The workshop is sponsored by the South Dakota Arborist Association, the South Dakota Division of Resource Conservation and Forestry, and the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service.
The Forest Industry Safety Training Alliance is renowned for their expertise and training skills. Participants will begin training at the State Motel Convention Center, 640 North Euclid Ave, Pierre, South Dakota and will move to an outdoor location in the afternoon. Lunch is on your own.
