to Look at the Impact of War in Our State

As the world focuses on war, many South Dakotans have concerns and questions. South Dakota Public Broadcasting will take a closer look at the state's role during a special edition of South Dakota Focus simulcasted on SDPB Television, SDPB Radio and sdpb.org on Sunday, March 23, 8 p.m. CT/ 7 MT.

The two-hour Sunday evening special will be aired live from the State Capitol in Pierre. Panelists will include the experts working to protect our state.

During the first hour, panelists include:

Tom Dravland, Secretary for the S.D. Department of Safety

Michael Gorman, S.D. National Guard Brigadier General, The Adjutant General

Kevin Forsch, S.D. Department of Health

Dr. Tim Schorn, USD Professor of Political Science and Coordinator of International Studies and Terrorism

The second hour features:

Roy Conrad, Southeastern Behavioral Health

Tom Dravland, Secretary for the S.D. Department of Safety

Dr. Sam Holland, S.D. Veterinary Board

Dr. Mike Keegan, Infectious Disease Specialist

Gov. Mike Rounds (tentative guest)

 

Host Richard Muller will moderate the panelists as well as field questions in phone calls and e-mails from viewers. Focus is a regular program of SDPB Television that zeroes in on issues and problems on South Dakotans’ minds.
