State prison offender Leo Plenty Arrows has died as the result of an apparent suicide.

Plenty Arrows, age 36, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary on June 20^th. He was later pronounced dead at a Sioux Falls hospital.

At the time of his death, Plenty Arrows was serving a sentence for simple assault on law enforcement from Pennington County.
