Grant County Fatal Crash

 

What: One-vehicle crash
Where: 141st Street, 8 ½ miles northwest of Milbank
When: 2:13 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016

Driver: Male, 23, Fatal Injuries

Vehicle: 2001 Ford Expedition

 

MILBANK, S.D. – A 23-year-old male was killed Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash northwest of Milbank, S.D.

 

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of family. He was the driver and only occupant in the vehicle.

 

A 2001 Ford Expedition was traveling west on 141st Street towards 476th Avenue. The driver lost control of the vehicle which went into the south ditch and rolled.

 

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Officers from South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continue to investigate. Other agencies at the scene were the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Grant-Roberts Ambulance.

 

The Highway Patrol is part of the state Department of Public Safety.
