Gov. Rhoden to Visit Lead, Deadwood, and Sturgis on Open for Opportunity Tour

PIERRE, S.D. – Tomorrow, Governor Larry Rhoden will visit Lead, Deadwood, and Sturgis on his Open for Opportunity tour.

Governor Rhoden is proud of the diverse industries across South Dakota that work hard to keep our state Open for Opportunity. Our mining industry is one of those key sectors, and the Governor will tour Dakota Gold to highlight their economic endeavors. He will also emphasize the value that small businesses add to our state’s economy by stopping by Chubby Chipmunk.

Governor Rhoden will support local law enforcement and speak about the importance of public safety to keep South Dakota Open for Opportunity at the Police Chiefs and Sheriffs Conference. He will wrap up the day by visiting Parkwest Arms, which manufactures custom rifles, highlighting South Dakota’s thriving firearms industry and support for the Second Amendment.
