US 83 South of Selby Re-opened

SELBY, SD – Construction of US Highway 83 south of Selby has concluded for the season. The highway re-opened to traffic Tuesday afternoon, November 15.

Travelers will be driving on the new roadway with the exception of approximately three miles of the old roadway.  The contractor will return in the spring to complete the remaining one mile of grading work.

Foothills Contracting, Inc. began working on the $5.8 Million project last July.  The completion date for the project is July 17, 2006.
