SDDOT to Hold Meeting on SD 42 Project in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS - The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) invites the public to an open house hearing starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 to discuss the SD 42 project in Sioux Falls which includes 10th, 11th and 12th Streets from Western Avenue to Main Avenue. The hearing will be held at the Sioux Falls Area Office at 5316 W. 60th St. North in Sioux Falls.
SDDOT plans to reconstruct 12th Street from Western Ave. to Grange, 11th Street from Grange to Main Ave., and 10th Street from Grange to Minnesota Ave. Work will include replacing the concrete pavement, new sidewalks and curb and gutter. The City of Sioux Falls will also be installing water main and performing sanitary sewer repairs on the project. The $5 million project is schedule to be a 2-year project starting in April of 2005 with completion late summer or early fall of 2006.
A short presentation will be made at 7:00 p.m. concerning sequencing, traffic control and general construction issues. The meeting will be informal with one-on-one discussion with design staff. SDDOT staff will be available with displays to discuss the proposed project and answer questions.
