Public Notice of Arrest Warrant for Parole Absconder Richie Desersa

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Corrections Secretary Denny Kaemingk is providing public notification that an arrest warrant has been issued for parole absconder Richie Desersa.

Desersa failed to report to the Sioux Falls Community Work Center on July 11. He was paroled to the Community Transition Program at the work center on May 24, 2017. Per his parole supervision agreement, Desersa is required to wear a Global Positioning System (GPS) device. He has removed his GPS device.

Desersa was originally sentenced to 10 years in prison for a second-degree burglary conviction from Hughes County. Desersa is on the sex offender registry for a previous offense.

Desersa, age 23, is Native American. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.

Anyone who sees Desersa should contact local law enforcement immediately.
