Gov. Rounds Announces Expansion of Omnitech, Inc. in Sioux Falls
PIERRE, S.D. – Omnitech, Inc, a company specializing in custom software development, project management and technical consulting, is expanding its business in Sioux Falls, S.D, Gov. Mike Rounds announced today. The locally-owned company plans to create 30 full-time jobs with the expansion.
“I’m pleased to see Omnitech thrive and grow in South Dakota,” said Gov. Rounds. “Omnitech has a strong history of employing graduates from our state’s universities. This expansion will give employment opportunities to even more of South Dakota’s skilled workforce.”
Through $214,650 of support from the state’s Revolving Economic Development and Initiative (REDI) Fund, Omnitech, Inc. will relocate its daughter company, Dataware, LLC. from a separate facility to the company’s main headquarters at 2908 W 11th Street in Sioux Falls. The Dataware, LLC component of Omnitech, Inc offers data storage with redundancy in bandwidth and power, fire suppression, physical and virtual security, and a climate-controlled environment. The expansion of Omnitech’s 11th Street facility will allow Dataware to monitor more closely the physical equipment located in the data center, and increase the data center’s capacity.
“All of us at Omnitech are excited to increase our services and expand here in Sioux Falls. We’re proud of the fact that a majority of our current workforce graduated from a South Dakota university, and look forward to recruiting even more students for internships and other professional opportunities,” said Joe Krizan, president and CEO of Omnitech. “This expansion marks great progress for our company.
