ABERDEEN RESIDENT WINS $1,000

Pat Hilpert of Aberdeen took the $1,000 cash prize in the South Dakota Department of Tourism’s Barn Again!® Photography Contest.

Her photograph of a barn near Fort Sisseton was chosen from among 25 top entries displayed at the South Dakota State Fair. Fair-goers voted on their favorite entry.

The contest was held in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit "Barn Again!® Celebrating an American Icon."
