Work  begins on US 18 between US 81 and Olivet 

YANKTON, S.D. –  South Dakota Department of Transportation officials report that work began April 2, 2009, on cold milling asphalt concrete and asphalt concrete resurfacing on US 18 from US 81 to Olivet. 

During construction, travelers on US Highway 18 should be prepared to stop for flaggers and should expect a brief delay while waiting for the pilot car.  

Spencer Quarries, Inc. of Spencer, SD is the prime contractor on the project at a total cost of 2.2 million dollars. Work is expected to be completed by June 1, 2009.
