Construction On Highway 11 And 41^st Street Intersection

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin reconstruction of the Highway 11 and 41^st Street intersection in Sioux Falls on Monday, July 8.

The intersection construction includes sanitary sewer and water main installation, grading, concrete paving, street lighting and signal installation.

During construction the 41^st Street intersection will be closed and traffic detoured to 26^th Street, Sycamore Ave. and 57^th Street. Access will be maintained to local residents.

Access to Harmodon Park will be maintained off 41^st Street east of Sycamore Ave. and 57^th Street.

Anticipated completion of the intersection reconstruction is Sept. 2.

The overall project completion of Highway 11 from 26^th Street to 57^th Street and 57^th Street from Sycamore Ave. to Highway 11 is Oct. 25.

The prime contractor for the $18.3 million project is D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. of Sioux Falls.
