Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Public Commitments; Public Meetings:

 

Sunday, Aug. 9, Rapid City –Gov. Dennis Daugaard will attend the memorial service for David Ruhl at the Rapid City Civic Center.

 

Monday, Aug. 10, 2 – 2:30 p.m. CDT – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will be a guest on KGFX’s South Dakota Perspective with Jeri Thomas and Mark Swartzell.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 12, 3 p.m. MDT, Rapid City Civic Center – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the mobilization ceremony for the South Dakota Army National Guard's 155th Engineer Company out of Rapid City and Wagner, S.D.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 12, 6:30 p.m. CDT, Pierre – First Lady Linda Daugaard will host the third annual book walk for children in the backyard of the Governor’s Mansion. Children near the junior kindergarten through the second grade age groups are invited to attend, but must be accompanied by an adult. The walk will take approximately a half hour.

 

Monday, Aug. 10, to Wednesday, Aug. 12, Pierre – The South Dakota Board of Regents will meet at the River Rock Lodge for its annual planning session and regular business meeting. Executive sessions begin Monday at 6:30 p.m. CDT, continue Tuesday from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. The regents’ planning session begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at River Rock Lodge, located east of Pierre at 20940 296th Ave. The business meeting convenes immediately following conclusion of the planning session Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 12, also at River Rock Lodge.
